Guy de Paepe

Guy is particularly experienced in the design, implementation and project management of CRM and business intelligence solutions, including data warehouses and marts, management information systems, reporting systems, executive information systems and decision support systems.

His experience covers projects in the social security sector, private banking, private insurances, manufacturing, luxury products, and office products.

Guy has substantial experience in:

• The design, implementation and management of data warehouses and data marts utilising both relational (DB2, SQL Server, SQL) and multi-dimensional (OLAP, Hyperion Essbase, Cognos, Microsoft Analysis) database technology, including database optimisation, audit, and advanced calculation scripts and API programming in VB in Excel (VBA))

• Modelling relational and multidimensional databases with ER tools (Erwin)

• Development of data warehouse solutions including business analysis, extraction, transformation and loading of data in daily, weekly and monthly batch operations, change management, and end user reporting

• Contact between users (power users and end users) and the implementation team in the definition of the requirements (different areas: insurance, banking, production, finance and sales)

• Project management: follow up meetings, steering committee meetings, budget control, project planning and organisation, team management

• The design and implementation of large ERP systems (ASW, JD Edwards)

• Tuning and configuring of AS/400 systems

• Training and skills transfer
